Ekogea Supports BiteBack 2030's "Save Our Standards"

At Ekogea, we take pride in helping farmers look towards higher environmental standards of agriculture.  Our BioComplex products are helping farmers all over the world regenerate their soils, increase the health and well-being of their livestock, and improve their waste management, all as part of the forward-thinking approach to the future of farming.  It’s for these reasons, and more, that we join our friends at the National Farmers’ Union in backing the BiteBack 2030 “Save Our Standards” campaign.

BiteBack 2030 has been set up to promote healthier food and produce options available to all of us and our families across the UK.  They have rightly taken a strong stance with regards to the future of farming standards in the face of the UK Government’s continuing trade negotiations across the world.

In an open letter to the Prime Minister they state their main aim “to ensure environmental, animal welfare and food safety standards are enshrined in law and upheld in all UK produced and imported products”.  The letter is signed by, amongst others, the Wildlife Trusts, the RSPCA, the Food Foundation, and of course our friends at the NFU.

Brand Britain is a huge opportunity for the UK to be a shining light in farming practices, and we need to protect the farmers leading that charge.  As chef and campaigner Jason Atherton states: “This should be a race to the top, not a race to the bottom”.
